Flinders

A beautiful combination of garter stitch rib columns and lace/cable stitch pattern gives these socks enough interest to keep the experienced sock knitter engaged, while providing a pleasant challenge for those new to sock knitting or stitch combinations. Twisted rib cuffs form a crisp finish, and the Alternate Cable cast-on retains ample stretch.

This pattern is knit in the round (instructions for knitting in the round method are not specified, but rather written in a way that the knitter is able to choose any of their preferred methods).

The sock is worked from the top down, and has a heel flap/gusset heel construction. Instructions for the toe are given as a standard/classic toe (paired decreases on either side of toe, separated by 2 stitches), using Kitchener stitch to finish.

Small/Medium (finished size.- 20cm/8in foot circumference); Medium/Large (finished size - 22.5cm/9in foot circumference)
