In the Shallows

Bold columns of alternating lace and eyelet patterns give these socks a lovely texture. It is simple enough for knitters new to socks or lace, while also providing enough detail to keep the interest of the more experienced sock knitter.

The pattern is written to use magic-loop method of circular knitting which can easily be modified for the double-pointed needles or 2 circulars methods, if preferred.

Worked from the cuff-down with a heel flap/gusset heel.

Available in two sizes, the lace stitch pattern provides a degree of ease to the finished measurements, making this pattern very suitable for varying sizing, and there is also provision for custom-fitting the foot length before beginning the toe shaping.

Both written instructions and a chart have been included for the lace panels.
